P O K E M O N ! oo1 // at the start, you are only allowed one basic pokemon from the starters list. if you want the evolved form, you must buy it at the store. if you want a different pokemon, please ask me for permission. oo2 // at the present, no one can own a legendary pokemon; however, that doesn't mean that they cannot appear in threads. you just need to remember that the npc account is the only one allowed to place the legendary pokemon. oo3 // all wild pokemon that interact with your character can only be played by the npc account; however, you can say in your post what the random caterpie in the tree was nibbling on. oo4 // we do go by levels! i know, i know. it's horrible, but training is what some people actually like to do. how to level up is found below, in the battle rules. oo5 // all starter pokemon will start at level ten unless bought at the site store or with special permission from the head admin. at level ten, pokemon have more moves than just, say, tackle or growl. this will help keep battles from being boring. oo6 // shiny pokemon are only given out by event. oo7 // all pokemon evolve by their normal ways. if a pokemon evolves from friendship, happiness, etc., then please keep that pokemon active for at least three weeks. only then can the pokemon evolve. for an eevee to evolve to espeon or umbreon, just have it for three weeks then having a battling thread. it must specify what time of day that thread is during to determine the evolution. oo8 // we will not be using hidden machines. if a bird pokemon is large enough, it can fly you from place to place. if a pokemon has sharp claws or something sharp, then it can slice through vines and small trees for you. use common sense for this, people.
B A T T L E S !
oo1 // due to the fact that marriland has yet to add in the unova pokemon to the stat calculator, we will not go by stats other than levels. a pokemon faints when they normally would in the anime, meaning a caterpie wouldn't stand a chance against an onyx. if a pokemon seems to never faint or get tired in battle, a staff member will interrupt the battle and say who won that round. oo2 // you can only use two moves at a time per pokemon per post. these moves can either be offense/offense, offense/defense, or defense/defense. oo3 // with that said, you can make combo moves with your two moves allowed. try to be original, though. i don't want to see twenty ice aqua jets on the site. of course, combo moves are best done in double battles. oo4 // like the black/white games, we do allow triple battles; however, you do not have to use the whole 'target depends on position on the field' thing. oo5 // we will allow tri-moves during triple battles; however, don't expect them to work without training first. tri-moves are like combo moves but with three moves being used instead of two. oo6 // finally, we are to leveling up!
lv1-15 -- one battle = 2 levels. lv16-30 -- one battle = 1 level. lv31-50 -- one battle = 1/2 level. lv51-70 -- one battle = 1/4 level. lv71-99 -- one battle = 1/8 level. lv100 -- one battle = nothing! a staff member will pop into your thread (if they aren't modding it already with the npc account) to tell you if you if you leveled up and if you gained any moves. because i feel like being generous, a pokemon can only know six moves at a time.
